Ra Ra Riot - Beta Love
I’ve never been a huge Ra Ra Riot fan but I’m pretty interested to hear the rest of the new album based on just this title track. It’s just pure fun synth driven pop and there is no other description for it but to say: it’s great.

Paper Route - You and I
Paper Route don’t get enough credit for making great music.
I really liked their first album Absence, and after hearing ‘Better Life’ and now ‘You and I’ off of their new record The Peace of Wild Things I don’t think it will be long before they get the recognition they rightly deserve. Great music video for the track too which can be seen here.

Mongol Horde - Casual Threats From Weekend Hardmen
Great to see Frank getting back to a heavier sound.
It sounds like a cross of Refused, Reuben, and Million Dead.
Not sure I prefer it to Million Dead, but I’m not complaining at all.

Desaparecidos - Backsell
I’ll be the first to say I don’t have an encyclopaedic knowledge about music but I like to think that I’m at least well informed which is why I’m disappointed in myself for not knowing about Desaparecidos until today considering it’s a band fronted by Conor Oberst, (of Bright Eyes fame), who have recently reformed.
This B-side track off their post reform single has got me hooked, and I’m glad this band has finally been brought to my attention.

Frank Ocean - Thinkin Bout You
I’m a bit behind on this but Frank’s whole debut album, Channel Orange, is pretty killer thanks to his voice and the high standards of production. Only listened through once or twice so far but this is the standout track for me.

Minus the Bear Infinity Overhead New Album Trailer
Always love the music Minus The Bear puts out. It’s safe to say I’m hooked by just this small portion of the new material and can’t wait to hear more.

One of the more creative music videos I’ve seen in a while which is for Motion City Soundtrack’s song ‘True Romance’ off their new album Go.
It feels like it took it’s inspiration from The Pharcyde’s ‘Drop’ video but took it one step further and made it into an everlasting loop.
