Just finished watching this movie this evening, after constantly seeing the awesome photo-montage style poster popping up around tumblr, and then hearing the good reviews about it elsewhere on the internet.
The praise for Elizabeth Olsen (The lesser known younger sister of the Olsen twins) in this film is definitely justified especially for her film debut, perfectly summed up by Total Film’s words on the poster as “career making, mesmerising, haunting, and deeply affecting”.
The film manages to switch seamlessly to blend and link both timelines of the past and the present with some amazing shots, and I wasn’t sure about the open-ending but having actually thought about it (which is kind of what an open ending provokes), it works perfectly with the characters paranoia.
